AVAILABLE POSITIONS

Forester

LOCATION: Statesboro, Georgia

RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities will be field work consisting of forest inventories, timber and boundary marking; collecting GPS field data, prescribed burning, logging supervision, planting supervision in addition to other detailed organizational skills with files and paper work. Occasional travel out of town will be required for inventory work.

REQUIREMENTS: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment. A minimum two year forestry degree is required. An additional 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar forestry field is preferred. Computer skills and other digital skills will be necessary. Good written and verbal communication skills are required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Includes the ability to traverse distances over one mile on uneven terrain; work in outdoor forested areas for extended periods in a variety of environmental conditions; occasionally carry 5 to 10 pounds of equipment over longer distances for extended periods of time. Must be able to work independently during a work week and complete tasks in a timely manner. Must have an insurable driving record.

SALARY
Commensurate with experience and education.

Real Estate Marketing Manager

LOCATION: Montpelier, Vermont or remote location

RESPONSIBILITIES: This part time position (24 hours/week) will provide support for the northern real estate team, and the company-wide Real Estate Department. This position will work closely with the Principal RE Broker.

REQUIREMENTS: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Must possess an organized and methodical approach to work. Be proficient with computers and office software, especially the Microsoft Office Suite of Programs including Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, and Photoshop. Familiarity with a mass communications database program such as ACT!. Creative design ability and strong attention to detail related to report/brochure/advertising layout. Have excellent written and oral skills and be able to accurately transcribe and relay information. Have or quickly gain basic understanding of real estate concepts and general real estate regulations and laws. Have basic bookkeeping skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Marketing duties include but are not limited to management and placement of real estate advertising, gate-keeper of real estate web site, management of MLS and internet advertising venues, editing and assembly of market property reports, maintenance of files, record keeping, research, and database management, oversight of SEO consultant, social media postings, and oversight of company branding standards.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: An Associates or Bachelor’s Degree is a plus. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing and/or office operations (related real estate industry experience a plus).

SALARY
$15 to $20/hour depending on experience and education.

Forester

LOCATION: Thomasville, Georgia

Forest Inventory Analyst

LOCATION: Albany, Georgia

RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities will focus on forestland inventory analysis and reporting with F&W’s TIMBER® inventory software, forestland inventory project management, inventory and analysis support for F&W’s branch offices, and application of growth & yield software to assist in investments analysis. Additional duties will include inventory map creation with ESRI ArcMap.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in forestry or closely related field with experience in forest sampling, mensuration, statistics, and forest measurements. Strong technical and quantitative skills are required. Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Access, and Word. Proficiency with inventory software, growth and yield modeling and ESRI GIS software is needed.

Forest Planning Analyst

LOCATION: Albany, Georgia

RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities will focus on growth and yield to support cash flow analysis, harvest scheduling, and maintaining client forestland databases.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience with a graduate degree in forestry or finance. Applicants should have experience with growth and yield software, relational databases, cash flow analysis, timberland valuation, and economic analysis. Strong technical and quantitative skills are required. Familiarity with GIS software and Remsoft Analytics is a plus.
