AVAILABLE POSITIONS

Forester with F&W Forestry services

LOCATION: Lafayette, Alabama

RESIDENCE: Location is negotiable, but it is preferable for employee to live within 50 miles south or southeast of Lafayette, AL.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities will be field work consisting of forest inventories, timber and boundary marking; collecting GPS field data, prescribed burning, logging supervision, planting supervision in addition to other detailed organizational skills with files and paperwork.  Periodic travel out of town will be required for inventory work.

REQUIREMENTS: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.  A minimum two-year forestry degree is required. Computer skills and other digital skills will be necessary. Good written and verbal communication skills are required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Includes the ability to traverse distances over one mile on uneven terrain; work in outdoor forested areas for extended periods in a variety of environmental conditions; occasionally carry 5 to 10 pounds of equipment over longer distances for extended periods of time.  Must be able to work independently during a work week and complete tasks in a timely manner. Candidate must pass a background check and must have an insurable driving record.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience and education.

aCCOUNTING CLERK with F&W Forestry services

LOCATION: Albany, Georgia

RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities will be processing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and prepare financial statements for F&W and our clients.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Process accounts payable and receivables timely and accurately
  • Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts
  • Prepare periodic financial statements and reporting packages
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information
  • Maintain accounting work papers and supporting analysis for all tasks performed
  • Compile ad-hoc reports for management as requested
  • Generate reports and queries using FRx Report writer, Seagate Crystal Reports and Excel
  • Meet deadlines for monthly and quarter end close and financial statements issuance
  • Meet deadlines for annual 1099 reporting and other tax documents
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within functional area. This includes observing and following all policies, procedures, and laws. Additionally, employee is expected to report known or suspected violations to appropriate company authority immediately.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years accounting experience, including AP/ AR/ financial statements
  • Bachelors degree in accounting or business related field preferred
  • Clear vision
  • Sense of sound, ability to hear clients on telephone

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR/BOOKKEEPER with F&W Forestry services

LOCATION: Albany, Georgia

RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities will be providing administrative support, general accounting, reporting, and analysis support to employees within F&W and clients.

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Answer telephones and greet clients
  • Prepare, sort, deliver daily mail, prepare outgoing packages
  • Copy, scan, fax, and filing of documents
  • Data entry, preparation of contracts, other documents and reports as requested
  • Preparation of invoices
  • Bank deposits
  • Maintain office area and equipment, order and stock supplies
  • Organize meetings and luncheons

BOOKKEEPER PRIMARY DUTIES:

Real Estate Salesperson/Broker with Fountains Land 

LOCATION: South Central Arkansas or North West, South Carolina, exact locations TBD

RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities will focus on conducting real estate marketing and sales services for our existing client base while working with our marketing division to expand business regionally.

REQUIREMENTS: We are seeking an individual with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.  Must possess experience in the real estate business and hold an AR or SC Real Estate License. Experience with land sales of all sizes is a must. Experience with forest/land management is a plus. Professionalism, adherence to high ethical standards, dedication to serving client needs, good writing/communication skills and experience managing a business center are critical requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Real estate duties include, but are not limited to, marketing existing client lands, preparation of marketing material, daily interface with customers, working with other members of the real estate/management team and, procurement of new business.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: An associates or bachelor’s degree is a plus. Solid experience in real estate sales and marketing required.

SALARY:  Commission based.
